Geopolitics and U.S. foreign policy

U.S. Naval War College professor Sarah Paine will speak at the next Providence Committee on Foreign Relations meeting.The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 8 at the Hope Club in Providence. The event begins at 6 p.m.

The title of Paine’s talk is “The Geopolitics Underlying U.S. Foreign Policy.”

About Paine

Paine is a professor of strategy and policy at the U.S. Naval War College.

She has written or co-edited several books on naval policy and related matters.

Other works she has authored concern the political and military history of East Asia, particularly China, during the modern era.

For example, she is the author of the 2012 award-winning book Wars for Asia 1911–1949.
