Galloway Attorneys Obtain Defense Verdict in Construction Defect Case
Last week, Tim Hassinger and Kelsey Bonnaffons of Galloway defended a local contractor at trial before a jury in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The Plaintiffs were alleging defects in the contractor’s work and associated mental anguish and property damages totaling almost $1 million dollars. After the Plaintiffs rested, the defense moved for directed verdict, arguing the Plaintiffs failed to establish a causal nexus between the alleged defects and the damages being claimed by the Plaintiffs. The District Court granted their motion, dismissing all claims against the contractor and its insurer in what was an incredible result for our client.
