From the Heart: February Acts of Love and Kindness

Spreading positivity and uplifting energy is at the heart of everything we do. This Valentine’s Day, our teams from Metro & Midwest, Central North Carolina, and Eastern Iowa went the extra mile to share kindness and make the day truly special for their communities.

Handmade Cards, Heartfelt Impact

For the Renewal by Andersen Metro & Midwest teams, Valentine’s Day is an opportunity to create joy for children spending the holiday in hospitals. In partnership with Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK), our team poured creativity and care into making handmade cards filled with colorful designs and heartfelt messages. Each card is a small gesture of hope and joy, created to bring smiles to young patients around the country facing medical challenges.

“Renewal by Andersen Metro & Midwest is spreading love, one card at a time!” shared Celina Stout , Renewal Cares Ambassador. “It’s a simple, yet powerful way to bring joy and encouragement to children facing tough times. Knowing that our efforts can brighten a child’s day and provide a sense of support makes this initiative especially rewarding.”

This initiative has become a cherished tradition for the Metro & Midwest teams, serving as a beautiful reminder of the big impact small acts of kindness can have on others.

For Maya Kohl , Renewal Cares Ambassador for the Eastern Iowa team, this initiative was especially meaningful. Having recently joined Renewal by Andersen, Maya teamed up with her co-ambassador, Alanna Robinson, to bring this vision of compassion to life. “The smiles and conversations we shared made it such a meaningful experience,” Maya said. “We had the opportunity to meet so many incredible individuals. Our goal was to bring smiles to their faces and warmth to their hearts during the colder season.”

The team’s actions are a true testament to the spirit of Renewal by Andersen. By taking the time to make others feel valued and cared for, they showed that even small gestures can create a big impact. This heartwarming initiative reminds us all of the power of kindness and community.

Bringing Joy & Cheer to Young Hearts

This Valentine’s Day, the Renewal by Andersen® of Central North Carolina/Coastal North Carolina/Myrtle Beach, South Carolina team started a heartwarming new tradition: crafting handmade cards for the kids at Brenner Children’s Hospital in Greensboro. With each card, they delivered joy to children spending the holiday in the hospital.

“With a simple act of kindness... our team helped bring cheer to kids spending Valentine’s Day in the hospital. A small gesture can go a long way!” shared Rachel Baylor , Renewal Cares Ambassador. This thoughtful initiative didn’t just brighten the children’s day—it also brought the team closer together, reminding everyone of the power of compassion and purpose.
