Draft With Copilot

Draft With Copilot

Do you ever struggle to find the right words or know what to say when it comes to emails or even a social post?

Well, there is an exciting new feature coming to Microsoft’s Edge browser that will be extremely helpful in this scenario. ‘Draft with Copilot’ is an AI-powered tool that can instantly write text on any topic you need.

When you are in Edge and you find yourself staring at an empty page (e.g. an empty email) and you don’t know what to write, all you have to do is right click. Then you will see and option to ‘Draft with Copilot’. When you click it, a window will pop up, just enter the subject or topic you need text for. Hit generate and watch copilot do its thing. In a few moments you will have a piece of text on the topic you specified.

If it isn’t quite what you wanted you can also tweak the tone and length to suit you. We all know that time is money, ‘Draft with Copilot’ can help you save both. Imagine how much time your team spends writing everyday text, whether that be emails, blogs, comments etc. With copilot, drafting a quick email or coming up with social media updates has never been easier. Furthermore, Copilot not only helps you write faster but also makes sure that the text is grammatically correct and well-structured.

Right now, this feature is only available in US English, but Microsoft is working on expanding it to more languages. We do have one warning though. Make sure you review what it produces. Critics of AI-generated text sometimes say that it can feel a bit generic. You might want to add a personal touch or specific details to make it more engaging.

This feature is currently in the Edge Canary preview build, which means it is still being fine-tuned. Microsoft is steadily integrating Copilot into more Windows apps, making these AI tools more accessible and versatile. It is clear that the future holds even more AI-assisted features that will make our lives easier.

Have you tried Copilot? What are your thoughts?
