Dr. Eneida Resuli Honored with April’s Optometric Excellence Award

St. Louis, MO – Dr. Eneida Resuli, OD of Crown Vision Center, Loughborough, has been selected as the recipient of AEG Vision 's Optometric Excellence Award for April. Chosen from among dozens of her peers, Dr. Resuli is being recognized for her outstanding commitment to patient care, mentorship, and dedication to her practice.

Dr. Resuli began her journey in optometry at St. Louis University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She then pursued her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry. Since beginning her career in 2007, she has devoted herself to improving the vision and overall ocular health of her patients. She has been an integral part of the Crown Vision Center team since 2017, where she has built a reputation for her compassionate approach to eye care.

Amalia Karagiannis , Practice Manager at Crown Vision Center, nominated Dr. Resuli for the award, citing her invaluable leadership and dedication to both her patients and colleagues. “Dr. Resuli is the glue to this practice,” Karagiannis shared. “She is genuine, and it shows in her patient focus. She has patients who have followed her for years. Not only is she focused on providing exceptional patient care, but she is also a true team player who participates in all team functions and ensures we work together toward our shared goal: providing excellent and continuous patient care.”

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Resuli is known for her extraordinary kindness and generosity. One particular patient interaction stands as a testament to her compassion. After bonding with a first-time patient who required urgent medical attention, Dr. Resuli went out of her way to offer additional support. Moved by the patient’s story, she personally purchased a $100 gift card and even covered the cost of the patient’s glasses to help ease their burden. Her heartfelt gesture not only provided immediate relief but also created a lifelong connection with the patient and their family.

In addition to her patient care, Dr. Resuli plays a critical role in mentoring new optometrists within her company. She serves as the lead doctor for training incoming ODs, ensuring that the next generation of eye care professionals upholds the same high standards of excellence and compassion. Furthermore, she extends her care to the local community, offering vision services to the families of her daughter’s high school bandmates.

Her warm-hearted approach and unwavering dedication have made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and patients. Known affectionately as the “mother of Loughborough,” Dr. Resuli continues to embody the very best of the optometric profession.
