Don’t know what to do with Copilot – read on..
Microsoft has done the most amazing job convincing people to try Copilot. My accounts system is asking me to try it’s new Copilot, Adobe reader is telling me I need to summarise my documents with Copilot and every project manager is being told to include Copilot in their new projects. So how can a professional services firm make the best use of Copilot?
We all know that Copilot allows users to have a natural language conversation with a Chatbot and that the “Gen AI” will provide a response using data sourced from the Internet. But what good is this to an organisation? The answer lies in Topics.
You can think of a Copilot Topic as an App. In Copilot you setup a Topic and then set the Trigger Phrases that access information or run a business process. For example “Get me a clients account balance” could be a trigger phrase for an App that asks for the client’s account number and uses that to retrieve the balance from the accounts system. “Create an employment contract for Mr Joe Bloggs” could respond with a series of questions that use a standard template to create a perfect contract. More advanced automations could summarise the status of a specific matter or find the person in the organisation responsible for specialised tasks.
By creating Topics in Copilot that are looking for key phrases, you can provide a single point of access for anyone in your organisation to complete any tasks. The Chatbot could work in conjunction with all your systems and act as a natural language intranet.
