Disinfection Work Places: Hypochlorous vs alcohol
Hypochlorous is the latest disinfectant to become a household name due to the Covid-19 outbreak. I have been using hypochlorous for over 4 years, as its benefits are astonishing, both when it comes to its use in healing and also when applied as a disinfectant.
It is antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal. Healthcare providers around the world including the largest private healthcare provider in the UK have switched to this technology because it is far faster at killing pathogens than their previous disinfection systems.
Hypochlorous, when applied correctly and accordingly, kills living bacteria up to 1000 more than the standard products that state 99.9%. Hypochlorous kills 99.9999% of germs. It is UK and EU approved for human use, which means it has been independently tested by the EU authorities for safety and efficacy. Tested to: EN 1276 (Bactericidal), EN 14476 (Viricidal), EN 13697 (Fungicidal). This product is available in Malta too now under the label NatraSan or Salvesan, depending on its intended use.
It is far more effective than alcohol based sanitisers and disinfectants because it kills pathogens on contact. Alcohol based disinfectants can take 10-15 minutes to kill, hypochlorous is instant.
It also does not contain: bleach, alcohol, harmful chemicals, antibiotics or preservatives. The main ingredients are water, salt and hypochlorous only.
So whilst Alcohol Sanitisers (70% or 80%) are ideal for daily use on the hands, hypochlorous is recommended for daily use on all types of surfaces. It is ideally sprayed and wiped down and can also be used in cold fogging.
