Develop your business with the newest SAP Business One 9.2 for SAP HANA

A dynamically changing market forces its users to search for more and more suitable optimised IT solutions, which are able to support all of the company’s operational areas. Key areas needs more suitable solutions not only in an operational sense, but also in analytics and reporting. Software producers are constantly trying to improve their own applications to solve the company’s key problems and to support its most complicated processes. One of the leading systems on the ERP market is SAP Business One 9.2 for SAP HANA. This solution in its latest version has all the elements needed to optimise business processing. A wide functional range and very advanced built-in analytics can fulfil the needs of the most demanding customers. Basic SAP Business One functionalities easily cover sales, distribution, warehouse management and finances and, combined with ProcessForce, also complex production processes.

The most recent system version has changed in many respects, which I would like to describe in more detail.

1.      Analytics/Reporting

Fast and complex information and its efficient management is crucial when running a business. This is why analytics is the first subject I would like to expand upon. In the current version of SAP you can create a wide range of reports by using embedded SAP HANA tools. There is no need to implement BI tools to be able to prepare complicated reports or to manage it from a system user level. In the latest version you can use many predefined analytics tools. Users can create their own dashboards, which can contain any dynamic custom reports based on built-in reports. It also provides tools to create completely unique reports. It gives you the possibility to create graphic representations of data and unique dashboards and KPIs. Another tool, which helps organisations to manage the current business situation, allows you to create reports and interactive analysis that automatically locate data source in Excel. It gives you the opportunity to create dynamic and graphic, multilevel reports that can be changed in real time. The functions described above are available due to the SAP HANA Platform and cover every area of company business activity. Here it is also important to mention one more significant function: dynamic cash flow planning functionality. For the most demanding users there is SAP Lumira. Using it you can create reports in the form of multilevel, dynamic presentations in an expanded visual format.

2.      Data Management

Another key function of the system is the possibility to manage system data: enter it, copy, process and send it to external systems. There are many interesting improvements in this area. One of them is extended possibilities to add new, custom fields. In many part of the system it is possible to put more detailed and precise information due to additional space now allocated for it. You can add as many user defied fields as you need. Data searches can be performed based on the values entered. Therefore the data tracking function is extended. The new system version also has an option to copy data quickly from external sources or to save it as a file, e.g. in xml format. These changes also offer the opportunity to create more detailed costing in any business area including project costing. Additionally the new changes made to the functionalities allow you to send more detailed information and to track any process route from its source as well as at every step along the way.

3.      Sales/Purchase

A few changes have also been made to sales and purchase processes. The key changes include the possibility to open a line from a source document when creating a correction document on sales or purchase orders. This functionality allows you to manage real life business scenarios. You can also create a campaign for suppliers with options to save it and run it again without need to the recreate it. You can also manage campaigns more flexibly: all pieces of sales or purchase orders are reflected on the logic relations map. All of the operations from a specific process are presented on it.

4.      Distribution

The next and final group of changes concerns distribution. A pricelist update tool has been added. This allows you to change prices, apply percentage-based discounts and change prices in accordance with current exchange rates. Changes also have been made to bin locations management. Now you can assign a unit of measure to a bin or a group of bins.

Above I presented the key changes made to the latest version. Of course there are many additional minor changes made to improve all of the offered functionalities for increased optimisation and to allow you to work more effectively.
