Concept of Open Source.

Concept of Open Source.

Imagine you made a fun game that only you can play because you know the secret rules (code). What if you share those rules with your friends? They could join in and even make your game more exciting by adding new ideas. That’s what Open Source is like!

Open Source means sharing the code (rules) of your project with everyone. For example, imagine if Google shared how they made Google Maps. Other people could help improve it by fixing problems or adding new features.

It’s like working together as one big team for free! If you join in, it’s like earning a badge that says, “I helped create something cool!”

And guess what? You don’t need to be a tech expert to join Open Source. It’s for everyone—even if you don’t know how to code. Yes, that includes YOU!

I agree... In the spirit of Open Source I would like to copy and share this article with my students. Due Credit will be given.
