Collaborate, don’t compete
Belle Property and Hockingstuart Elevate Sales Conference - Feb 2020

Collaborate, don’t compete

In February this year, we launched a new brand strategy to market. A strategy that sees us combine two major Australian real estate brands under one network.

When we merged with Hockingstuart in 2019 our plan was simple. To build on, and combine two great brands, while staying true to what and who those brands represent.

While we have ambitious plans for growth, these plans are not at the expense of our people or the reputations that have been built from the years of service under the Hockingstuart and Belle Property brands.

While this model seems simple – two strong brands, two different market segments under one umbrella, it’s not a model we ever see in real estate.

And that’s because our industry has been obsessed with competition. The best, the brightest, the first the last. But the future of real estate will not and cannot be built on this approach.

We either collaborate and come together – or compete and fall apart.

Sure, competition is healthy and it’s what keeps our market strong, but within our brands, within our network to cultivate a team is what will set us apart.

That’s because, a team of high performing people, that learn and leverage each other where they can, ultimately means we offer the customer something that our competitors can’t.

We offer an approach to sales, marketing and advice that’s collaborative, that puts their needs at the core of everything we do. We put our customer first, and in a business that depends on relationships, that hangs on trust and accountability, this is the only way forward.

Beautifully written Peter. You are absolutely correct and not only for the real estate industry either.
