Changes to PMP Exam 2016

The only constant thing in this universe is CHANGE.

If you are giving PMP exam in near future, read below on what has changed in the exam. These changes were outlined in JUNE 2015 and will be effective after 11th Jan 2016.

No change in the 5 Domains

8 New tasks added as below:-

Domain 1 : Initiating the Project - 3 tasks added – task 2, task 7, task 8

Domain 2 : Planning the Project - 1 task added – task 13

Domain 3 : Executing the Project - 2 tasks added – task 6, task 7

Domain 4 : Monitoring and controlling the project - 2 tasks added – task 6, task 7

Domain 5 : Closing the project - No new tasks added

  • These 8 new tasks will carry a weight of  around 25% of the exam content and that is pretty large.
  • You will find number of questions linked or related to these new 8 tasks so to get an edge for this change, prepare well from these tasks.
  • More question in the EXECUTING Domain and less on CLOSING Domain.
