The Challenge of a Teen’s Creativity Oozing Out of Every Pore!

The Challenge of a Teen’s Creativity Oozing Out of Every Pore!

A Collaboration by Jonathan Kroll and Burton Danet, Ph.D.

Jonathan Kroll writes:

It was Steve Jobs who said that the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do, and I have the passion, talent, and craziness to be one of those individuals.

My name is Jonathan Kroll, I am 19 years old and I want to change the world with my music. I am a classical pianist and currently studying piano performance at a liberal arts college. Music for me is the voice for who I am, it is a towel that I can wash all of my thoughts and emotions in, and it is my passion and joy in life.

I firmly believe in the transformative power of music, not only that it can connect personally and universally to people but that it can connect people to other people through breaking down social and prejudice barriers and in doing so establishes a connection that we couldn't do otherwise. Music can be a strong force for those desiring political and social peace.

I have a dream to use my gifts of music to connect people through composing, playing, and listening to one another. The world needs more listeners and music enables a possible way in a world that so often seems to have already shut down options.

I am offering readers of this Pulse Article an opportunity to help support my goals and, in doing so, you are helping what will make a difference in the world. In conclusion, this effort represents a unique and special opportunity for both myself and anyone who grasps the seriousness, magnitude and scope of my dreams.

I would like to thank you for your time, for reading this and, most importantly, considering the potential for support and collaboration among those who will truly, like myself, want a better world.

Burton Danet, Ph.D. writes:

Teen years typically can be filled with questions, a gamut of emotions as struggles to find one’s identity proceed, sometimes well beyond the adolescent years. Not so with Jonathan Kroll.

Here we have a young man with an amazingly clear tripartite set of goals: “Music, Menswear, and Writing.” It is not often that a teenager so clearly self-defines what are so well-formulated and the most important lifetime targets. Even less often do we find strikingly and amazingly a set of talents that he yearns to express with others who, to start, will make carefully and deliberately crafted career goals possible!

Learn more about how Jonathan shares his information at his most modest GoFundMe project. Sample his talent at a YouTube channel filled with 100 (yes, 100!) original impromptu improvisations labeled with myriad themes that suggest not just a sensitive, thinking teen, but a young person ready to offer both spontaneous improvisations and formal renditions of traditional classical music as a way to contribute to a better world.

An example follows that is presented in video format of Jonathan performing the Robert Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54, 1st Movement.

Such a person possesses great promise to have any, if not all, of his dreams fulfilled!

It is my sincere hope that this collaboration represents what will continue the series of phases underway in his extraordinarily and deliberately planned, budding career developments.

There is additional hope there will be acknowledgement and support of the more than justified ways for him to share his talents with the world.
