Canadian Urban Institute hosts expert panel to discuss the urgent need for investment in main street businesses across southern Ontario.
The Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) is hosting a CityTalk | Live, a popular virtual discussion with leading urban experts who will explore the critical importance of main street businesses to Canada’s greater economy and the urgent need for investment.
The panel, moderated by CUI CEO Mary W. Rowe , will discuss how main streets contribute significantly to national revenue, and the concerns about businesses still reporting below-normal revenues and confidence falling. Experts will explore the impact of investments in main street businesses and the communities to foster resilience, sustainability, shared growth and prosperity, and in turn, improve the quality of life for the 72 percent of Canadians who live within 800 metres of them.
