The Station Manager at Belfast International Airport for the past two years, David brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering dedication to his role. His leadership and enthusiasm extend beyond just getting the job done – he works before and after his shift to support his team – and one of his favorite things about his job is seeing his teammates succeed.

Before joining Unifi UK, David was a tour operator and sales manager for Trans-Atlantic Company. During his time there, he traveled extensively throughout the UK and Ireland while growing the company’s reach from 600 to 42,000 seats, and extended operations to Belfast, Dublin, Shannon, Glasgow, London and Manchester. From starting in a small backroom operation to climbing through various roles – from sales rep to sales manager to quality control – David’s path to leadership was built on passion and an understanding of going the extra mile to get the job done.

David’s mantra is simple: "I’m a salesperson who flies airplanes." His drive and determination to always go above and beyond have made him an invaluable resource to his team. Recently, when an aircraft wash was needed, David didn’t hesitate to jump in. He worked all day and came back that night to support his colleagues. This level of commitment is a regular part of his daily approach: always willing to lend a hand and make sure his team is supported, no matter the task.

“The people I work with are why I love my job," he says. "Every day is different, and I don’t like to get set in my ways. I love seeing everyone’s success and making sure they enjoy their job."

David’s leadership style emphasizes teamwork and open communication. He understands that everyone has unique abilities and needs, and he makes it a priority to support his team both professionally and personally. Whether it’s making coffee or bringing pizza for a job well done, David goes the extra mile to create a positive work environment. He’s always ready to lend a listening ear and offer guidance when team members face challenges.

He takes pride in sharing his years of experience and knowledge to help his team grow and thrive. "I’m not threatened by sharing what I know—I want to see everyone succeed," he says. "Everyone has something valuable to offer, and together, we make our base successful."

"When someone says, ‘I don’t know’ or ‘I don’t understand,’ I’m here to help them get through it," he says. "It’s not about one person. It’s about all of us. Our base is successful because everyone works together."
