Better safe than sorry !
With help of the Dickow safe line a comprehensive containment monitoring of magnetically coupled pumps is possible. With our safety devices consisting of #mag-safe #shell-safe and #double-safe, all critical conditions at a containment shroud can be safely monitored and detected.
The applied safety technology is adapted to the used containment shell material. Monitoring is thus possible for metallic, ceramic, peek and double-walled containment shells.
mag-safe for metallic shrouds
Measures the temperature of the shroud surface directly in the center of the magnets
Prevents inadmissible temperature increase and boiling point exceedance in the magnetic area
Protects against dry-running related slide bearing damage and overheating of the magnetic coupling, which would not be possible with a conventional PT-100 which are often used incorrectly to detect dry-running.
shell-safe for ceramic shrouds
Detects containment shell breach and immediately stops the drive machine to avoid further damage and risks and environmental contamination.
The first monitoring for all non-metallic containment shells.
double-safe for double walled containment cans
Detects containment shell breach
Double safety against product leakage to atmosphere and health hazard.
contact-safe for monitoring of anti-friction bearings
When the rolling bearings are worn out, the driven outer magnetic coupling will run eccentrically and wobbles. In order to prevent the magnets from running against the containment shell, the gap between the coupling cover and the bearing bracket is considerably smaller than between the magnets and the containment shell. The contact-safe reliably detects a wire breakage when the start-up cover touch the bearing bracket.
