I am frequently spotlighting poor B2B sales pitches and vendors behaving badly. So just to keep things interesting, here is a good one. This is an email I just received. We are not in the market for this product, but if we were, this is effective B2B email marketing:

It duplicates patient data to create statistically similar but PHI-free, untraceable, and irreversible synthetic datasets. The synthetic datasets can be distributed for analysis, keeping your source data secure.

Why is this effective?

  1. Opening with an attention grabber -- Gartner Cool Vendor is a meaningful 3rd party validation (AIDA)
  2. Relevant reference customers and what they are doing with your product / service
  3. Short and clear explanation of the value prop
  4. Just text, no graphics and links, so it gets past the spam filters that we (and everyone else) have turned up to 11
