Azure migrate is a tool that help us to analyze the components of out IT infrastructure so Id’ like to resume some new features and its benefits
- Public Preview: Support for discovery and assessment of MySQL databases, this will allows in your assessments to evaluate a modernization path for you OOSS DBs
- AVS Assessments: Support for cost assessments with AV64 SKU and Azure NetApp Files. When you want to evaluate costs on a vmware to the cloud journey we were missing this model ov hosts and the possibility to manage the information on NetApp that has tons of benefits on large sets of data.
- Enterprise Linux Machine Migration: Provides support for RHEL and SLES in VMware and Hyper-V environments, enabling the application of the Azure Hybrid Benefit. This process allows the migration of these Linux distributions and the application of the Hybrid license benefit in one step.
- Azure Arc: Business case creation and server onboarding from Azure Migrate inventory. To keep an option of infrastructure on-premises
- RVTools XLSX Import: Read storage data from vPartition and vMemory. For a rapid analysis of resources in vmware without having to change the original format we get form the rvtools result file.
- Public Preview: Support for discovery and assessment of SAP systems. SAP is supported in Azure but it’s important to comply with the SAP requirements so this assessment allows to keep in mind the requirements for the components.
- Java Application Assessment (Tomcat): Assessment for Azure App Service and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This integrates the ASMA tool in a single interface
- Azure Management Services Assessment: Cost assessment for Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and Azure Update Manager. For a better understanding of all the additional costs associated with a migration to the cloud
