The Amazon Effect - Commoditization Delivered!
New Theory just released a great article on The Amazon Effect. The info graphics alone are very telling but the list of brands at the top are all product resellers as opposed to value added resellers. The commoditization of the product market allowed for easier access and better delivery at the same or lower prices. Now Amazon is taking a stab at value added reselling with their in-home consultations. It is doing so with products at the entry level of the market. How are you differentiating your offerings, marketing to and educating clients, while also walking away from unprofitable work and outdated business practices?
