Welcome to our first AlumGrow newsletter for 2025!
Five years ago, while sitting in a charming ristorante in Rome with my partner Angela, the final decision to create AlumGrow Consultancy was made. That moment was the culmination of years of experience in advancement and a desire to help schools, universities, and not-for-profits build stronger community connections and achieve greater philanthropic outcomes.
When we returned home, we sat around a blackboard with our (then only) daughter, brainstorming the perfect name for the business. I wanted something that represented growth, connection, and transformation—and so AlumGrow was born.
Since then, that dream has grown in ways I never imagined. AlumGrow has worked with incredible clients across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe, helping schools, universities, and not-for-profits strengthen alumni engagement, boost fundraising outcomes, grow enrolments, and create meaningful change.
This milestone also coincides with my 25th year working in the advancement field—a career that has been deeply fulfilling and continually inspiring. On a personal note, Angela and I are now proud parents to three beautiful daughters, who bring joy and balance to this ever-evolving journey.
Starting AlumGrow was a leap of faith that has involved overcoming many challenges, but it has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life and one that I am immensely proud of. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far—clients, colleagues, and supporters. Your trust and collaboration have made AlumGrow what it is today.
