ChatGPT has gone Incognito

AI Incognito mode, AI & Dyslexia, and ALL the ChatGPT stats

Another week of some pretty big news in the world of generative AI, and another big week of the world reacting in good ways and in everything in between. We've got some new privacy options in ChatGPT, our friends at TedTalks are polling sentiment, and Richard Branson weighs in on Dyslexia and generative AI. Let's dig in!

ChatGPT introduces "Incognito" Mode: Well, that's not what they're calling it, but that's what I'm calling it. ChatGPT now has the option for users to disable chat history which will ensure prompts and output from conversations will NOT be used in training data. OpenAI will keep the data for 30 days to analyse the data for any content abuse, and then it will be deleted forever. When I'm training people on AI safe use, I still recommend that they don't put any company IP or private and personal safety information in the dialogue box, because well, even 30 days of the data being stored, even if not being used for training data, could still be used for something else? You can read about it HERE.

Screencapture (with some mods) from Ted Conferences LinkedIn post:

Ted Conferences AI Survey says most of us are still concerned: A recent poll on LinkedIn by Ted Conferences asked LinkedIn users if the were "excited", "concerned" , "confused", or "other" about ChatGPT. Of over 37,000 respondants, 43% said concerned, followed by 37% that are excited. I wish you could choose "all that apply" because I think many are BOTH excited and concerned. It's producing some lively conversation around the topic with opinions flying around like monkey soldiers in the Wizard of Oz. We need to remind ourselves that generative AI has only been an actual thing now for a little over 6 months, so it's bound to have a lot of confused feelings and strong emotions. I wonder how ChatGPT feels about this (it feels right? RIGHT?!). You can check the poll out HERE.

Dyslexia and AI as co-pilot? Richard Branson is passionate about creating equitable working arrangements for those that have Dyslexia. Those that suffer Dyslexia, for example, can have extremely creative slants that are often hindered by tools that don't account for their particular needs. Branson thinks that ChatGPT and other natural language models could be the answer. It's a really interesting read and explains why he feels that the combination AI which "aggregates", an dyslexia which "innovates" are a perfect match. You can read about it HERE:

Bonus: ALL the ChatGPT 2023 Stats: I was on the "AI Explorers" weekly call and found an incredible resource by Tooltester that lists more stats and numbers about ChatGPT and it's rise than any other site I've been to. Check it out HERE.

What struck you as awesome or insane this week? Share your comments (and maybe use ChatGPT to write them for you?! Ha!).

If you're new here, you can also join the AI Explorers Group HERE. We post stuff, and even have a weekly call for those who are interested, every Thursday at 4pm eastern. Message me if you'd like to get on that call.

That is good news. From a follow dyslexic. Thank you for sharing!
