At the same time, with predicted speeds 100 times faster than 5G and the notion of what has popularly become known as "hyper-connectivity," these networks will merge technology with every single aspect of our environment, from smart cities to immersive virtual worlds. Researchers are investigating ways in which 6G could have latencies low enough to allow completely new technologies such as advanced telemedicine or AI-based real-time analysis.
Taking Effect and Challenges
While these advancements are likely to continue to spur innovation, they raise some serious questions about data security, infrastructure outlay, and environmental impact. This new generation of networks will have an enormous capital cost, and with traffic surging over networks, privacy and cybersecurity will be extremely big-keys.
In essence, with the near arrival of 6G and beyond, connectivity technologies shall continue to revolutionize various industries, invariably redefining the limits of digital experiences.
