5 Essential Visibility-Boosting Basics That Get You Noticed By Your Tribe

Today, it’s essential to to stand out online, above all the noise so you get noticed.

How Do You Stand Out?

There are many people with the same skills, the same business model, the same services, and teaching the same thing as you. Other companies may even have the same message as you. So how do you stand out above the noise so that your ideal market sees you? There are the basics and there’s the secret sauce and you need to know about both. I’m going to walk you through them. Follow these steps to boost your visibility and get in front of your tribe.

1.Understand your Mission, Vision and USP:

Your Why:

I’m sure you’ve heard people say “know your why”. As an entrepreneur, it’s essential to know why you’re in business. This “why” will guide you forward through the thick and thin of growing your online business. Building a business is not always easy and you will face many challenges. How you get through these challenges is up to you- I’ll cover more on that later. But your “why” must be strong enough to pull you through the difficulties that you encounter on your journey through entrepreneurship. To really know your “why” may seem obvious to some and to others, it may require taking a deep dive into their soul.

I struggled with my “why” for years. I knew I had one but I couldn’t articulate what was driving me forward. I confused my “why” definition thinking it had to be some big, outstanding vision of making an impact on the planet. I knew that I wanted to make a difference. I knew I wanted to help women. I knew I wanted to help entrepreneurs but why? Along my way, I finally realized my “why” is that I don’t like to be boxed in. I want the freedom to do what I want to do. I like to call the shots, be creative, and show up as my true self in the world.  What’s your why?

Your Mission:

Your mission needs to be defined so you have a driving force behind who you want to be in the world and what impact you want to make with your business. This is different from your why. Your mission is the strategy to get to your why which inspires you and leads you forward in your business.  Your mission is a short statement that summarizes what you will do in your business now to get where you want to go. There is a specific formula to help articulate your concept. It’s important to create a statement that will not only carrying your business forward but also inspire you, your team and your potential partners.

Your Vision:

Once you have a clear understanding of your mission, you can dream into the future. Your vision is a snapshot of what you will find at your destination. How do you envision your business or service making the world different? What and who do you aspire to be? What impact do you want to make and why? These are questions you can ask yourself to define your vision. Your vision needs to be created with careful consideration. If done right, you will create a path that leads you forward with clarity.

Your USP:

Everyone and every business is unique.  This uniqueness is what helps you stand out in the world. Your USP or Unique Selling Proposition helps you pinpoint how your business is different from all the rest of them that are basically providing the same service to the same audience. Understanding the value you bring to the world is one of the most important keys to marketing. Once you define your USP, and it matches what your target audience wants, you will stand out in the minds of your ideal client.

2. Define your Tribe

The saying “if you’re selling to everyone, you’re selling to no one” is important to keep in mind. You can’t be all things to all people.

I know you have many skills and you could have many different products and services however, in marketing, you must be able to speak directly to your audience in a specific way so they will hear you. And, you can only do that if you have narrowed down your niche. It seems counter intuitive to some however, being an expert in one area is the only way you will stand out.

This is your business and the best part about it is that you get to choose who you want to work with. What kind of clients do you like working with best? What can you help them with? How do you help them? Defining your tribe may take thought, time and research but nailing this part is essential to boosting your visibility.

3. Automate

Automation helps boost your online visibility as it allows you to be on many platforms with less effort and in less time. There are thousands of software programs out there that help you automate the process of getting seen online.

The bare necessities: You’ll need a domain name, a website, a blog, a shopping cart and payment processor, an autoresponder, social media profiles and a social media scheduler. Other important automation tools are: An online file storage, free conference calling and a graphics designer.

There are so many automation tools, people often get caught up in the “shiny object syndrome”. Your needs are unique for your business. Discover what works for your business and start with the basics.

4. Build your list

One of the first things you can do to boost your visibility is to start building your list of your ideal audience. Once people are on your list, you can write to them and start building a relationship with them. Building a list of your ideal prospects allows you to keep them engaged so you’re top of mind. One thing I know for sure is that when you can get in front of your tribe and build the know, like and trust factor, your audience will be more engaged and more likely to buy from you. People are on so many mailing lists, unsubscribes are common. Keeping them engaged with valuable information will keep them on your list.

5. Unleash Your Mojo

We’ve been talking about a few of the basic strategies you need to have in place to boost your online visibility to get seen by your tribe. But without the secret sauce, you can have all the 4 steps above in place and still be repelling clients. Why? Your secret sauce is your mojo. It’s who you are and how you show up in the world. Your mojo is POWERFUL! However, when you’re not in internal alignment with your business, your mojo falls flat. You will be showing up energetically in such a way that prevents you from receiving leads, clients and partners. When you’re out of alignment, no matter how much time or money you spend, and no matter how perfect your offer is, you will not be exuding the power of your mojo. When you’re not 100% in alignment using all of YOU to your business, you will unconsciously turn people off. You’ll find it difficult to make connections, collaborate with others and attract clients. When you lack clarity, feel frustrated and overwhelmed, are trying too hard or your exhausted, chances are you are not in alignment. Your mojo diminishes when you question who you are and what your message is in your business. When you question your definition of your ideal client, you won’t attract them. When you’re not aligned, your mojo stays hidden. You’ll feel a sense of disconnection, as if you’re tethered to your work but floating “out there” alone.

Once you are in alignment you can feel the power of your mojo. Your confidence increases, your work becomes effortless and you absolutely know your strategic advantage in the marketplace. This is when you become a client magnet.

Are you ready to discover how to unleash your mojo? I invite you to apply for a no-risk, complimentary “Unleash Your Mojo Strategy Session” where we’ll look at where you are now in your business, where you want to be and what steps are necessary to boost your mojo so you can stand out, get seen and become a client magnet.  Apply Here.
