Thinking outside the box: The link below leads to an interesting article about a startup developing a 3D-printed, reinforced concrete bridge. The challenge goes beyond just an engineering problem; we must think more openly to pave the way for industrial development. https://lnkd.in/dqFUMJ_j

Why are most small startups much closer to never launching than succeeding, and why is the IT market full of pre-dead projects? I can't live without personal projects, even when I try. Every time, my brain whispers, "What if we build something new and special..." I’m deeply passionate about IoT, UAV engineering, and programming—my projects are always 100% finished up to a successful point (meeting the requirements set). Here’s why I believe it’s essential to finish personal projects no matter what it takes and how it is connected to Startups: At the video a guru in real aerospace engineering—a person who spent years building a self-landing rocket model (like Elon Musk’s, but much smaller). The insights he shares about every project where you are the creator and owner are profound: - Overspending kills projects and small startups. - Over-quality kills projects and startups because it leads to overspending. - Overly complex solutions (often because you’re a genius engineer) bring personal satisfaction but rarely lead to optimized, goal-oriented results. - Working alone increases the risk of never finishing a project. You need to stay confident, focused on your goals, and aligned with previous steps. So: It’s incredible how the truths spoken by someone else can resonate deeply. As someone who builds startups for clients—with the goal of helping them succeed with their ideas (and myself with the project)—I’ve decided not to work on (my work) projects entirely on my own, as that only increases the risks for the project owner. That’s why Punk Development Studio exists! Our small team consists of real creators who are dedicated to building complex, innovative things with a clear focus: launching projects that work well and meet real-world needs. If you’re working on a personal project, this might resonate with you as much as it did with me. If you’re planning to build a startup or business-related project, I highly recommend watching the video I referenced. It may help you understand the importance of setting the right priorities, defining realistic requirements, and assembling a team of experts to build something great. And after that, when all the risks are clear to you and you’re still ready to start your own startup: Ping me, and I’ll prepare a roadmap to help you succeed with your tech idea!
A rant on personal engineering projects

Following up on the Mantris project. Here we'd like to share some behind-the-scenes CAD screenshots used throughout product development. You might ask “Why highlight such low-fi images”? A few reasons: 🔹 Screenshots are less distracting. Here we can focus on the challenges at hand, including important mechanisms and part design. 🔹 Screenshots are more honest. They reveal various part lines, seams, and surface geometry otherwise masked by renderings. 🔹 Screenshots are very fast. At this stage, we are geared up for rapid iterations. Renderings may not be a good use of time when a design is quickly developing. See more highlights here: https://lnkd.in/gUrhyX8W Stay tuned as we bring Mantris from CAD to prototyping! #UnboxPD #IndustrialDesign #Innovation #EngineeringDesign #Ergonomics #engineeringdesign #Startups #ThursdayThoughts

shared from a post I received earlier. point is to highlight how even small inventions in terms of size but value loaded can make big impacts in the world.! Artur Fischer, a German inventor, is known for inventing the plastic dowel, also known as the "Fischer dowel", in 1958. This small invention revolutionized the construction industry by providing a simple and effective solution for attaching objects to walls made of concrete, brick or other solid materials. The Fischer dowel consists of a small plastic cylinder with wings on the outside that expand when inserted into a drilled hole in the wall. This creates a firm and secure anchor for screws, nails or any other type of fastening. This innovation has changed the home improvement and construction industry forever by making it much easier and safer to attach objects to walls. Fischer also has numerous other inventions and patents that underline his role as one of the most important German inventors of the 20th century. #innovation #technology #startups
