🔥 Creating Passion, Purpose, and Performance in Every Employee – The Uber Framework 🚀 Employee engagement is about creating an environment where everyone is clear on their role, supported, empowered, and recognized. Recently I came across a framework called the "UBER framework" (and no, it’s not related to taxis! 😉). Here’s how Uber works: U: Understanding – Everyone understands what’s expected of them, and consistency is key. Whether it’s regular performance updates or personal check-ins, ensure everyone is clear on goals and aligned with the business vision. 🎯 B: Built Systems – Your systems and processes must reinforce employee engagement. Look at companies like Zappos with their focus on team culture, or smaller companies that create personal connections like pizza meetups 🍕 and team bonding activities. It’s about integrating engagement into the fabric of your organization. 🏗️ E: Empowerment – People need the tools, training, and autonomy to succeed. 🛠️ From creative problem-solving with small budgets to personal development investments 📚, businesses that empower their teams see massive improvements in performance and innovation. 💡 R: Recognition – Employees should be rewarded for behaviors that align with the company's values. 🎖️ Whether it’s a token of appreciation for excellent service or a simple thank-you board, recognition boosts morale and strengthens loyalty. 🤝 ❓ What do you think? 🤔 Have you applied this framework to your team's performance? 👍 If not, it’s time to let Uber steer your engagement strategy and take your business to new heights. 🚀 #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement #TeamPerformance #CultureMatters #EmpowerYourTeam

🌟 How Recognition Transformed Zappos: A Real-Time Success Story 💥 A few years ago, a company called Zappos, known for its unique culture, faced a challenge: how to boost employee engagement and drive growth. Despite having great products, they noticed that employee satisfaction was slipping. What did they do? Zappos doubled down on recognizing every employee’s contribution—big and small. From sending thank-you notes to implementing employee recognition programs, they made sure each person felt valued. The result? Employee satisfaction soared, and the company saw a significant boost in customer satisfaction, which led to an increase in sales and profitability. In fact, Zappos’ focus on culture was a key factor in their acquisition by Amazon! This story proves that when employees feel truly appreciated, the entire organization thrives. Recognition is not just a “nice-to-have”—it’s essential for success. 🚀 #EmployeeEngagement #EmployeeRecognition #Leadership #Zappos #BusinessSuccess #CompanyCulture

Disney’s Vision: Make People Happy tEEmatters Vision: Elevating Employee Experiences, Igniting Business Success (aka bringing the Disney magic to your business) When I was the head of Operations at Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's simple yet profound vision guided everything we did. In my role, my mission was to ensure that every Operations Cast Member felt that their true role was to "Make People Happy." At The Great Movie Ride, the Cast Member at the front position wasn’t just there to enforce the no-food rule— they were there to make people happy. At the Tower of Terror, the person with the height stick wasn’t just preventing tiny riders from boarding—they were making people happy. The power of Disney’s culture and the strength of our Employee Experience (EX) made it easy to bring my team along on this journey. At tEEmatters, we believe that the key to a thriving organization is creating a culture where every team member knows their ultimate role. We help organizations build this kind of powerful EX, where every employee feels connected to the mission and inspired to bring it to life every day. ✨ Ready to create a culture where your team is driven by a shared purpose? Let’s connect and explore how tEEmatters can help you build an Employee Experience that aligns your people to your vision and meets all of your goals. https://lnkd.in/eYWBqeVZ #LeadershipDevelopment #EmployeeExperience #CultureBuilding #tEEmatters #DisneyMagic #MagicMakersGroup

How stories build strong culture. The stories you tell at work shape how people feel, act, and connect. I once helped a startup that struggled with employee engagement. People felt lost, like just another cog in the wheel. The founder had a great vision, but no one was hearing it. I told him, "Let’s craft a story." We wove his journey— why he started the company, the late nights, the breakthroughs, and the dreams ahead—into everyday conversations, onboarding sessions, and team huddles. And guess what? People started feeling like part of something bigger. They stopped just working for a paycheck and started working for a purpose. Productivity went up, so did morale. They weren’t just employees anymore. They were part of the story. Your team needs stories too. Not just facts, but feelings. What story can your company tell today that will make people believe in tomorrow? #Culture #Management #Innovation #Startup #Creativity

Inter-employee gifting is a great thing, too. For example, the $50 bonus program we had at Zappos. $50 isn't a life-changing sum, but the fact you could show your appreciation to another employee in a real way could be a real boost to someone. I know I was flattered as heck whenever I got one.
