"When the incentives are there, we’re ready to scale up." 📝 Speaking to Bloomberg News, Yara's President and CEO, Svein Tore Holsether, highlighted low emission ammonia’s potential as a maritime fuel and the policy measures needed to make it happen. 🚢 Shipping makes up 3% of global GHG emissions and still relies on fossil fuels. That must change. Low emission fuels like ammonia can be part of the solution, but they need to be as affordable as today’s fuels. ✅ The upcoming International Maritime Organization (IMO) Net-Zero Framework will be decisive. Strong financial incentives from day one will determine whether zero- and near-zero fuels (ZNZs) can compete.
