Because large enterprises are joining the B Corp community, B Corp is losing its soul? Let's clear up this misconception with insights from Head of Growth & Innovation, Saskia Rotshuizen👇 B Lab's mission is to build an inclusive, regenerative and equitable economy for all people and the planet, that is the soul of the movement. The B Corp community's strength comes from its diversity. Larger companies have an extensive sphere of influence, required to shift the economic system. Smaller companies enhance this by bringing in the innovation and speed, that inspire rapid change. By allowing these companies to effectively work together and learn from one another and achieve our mission. In this series, experts from the B Lab Benelux team open ups about the greatest misconceptions about everything it means to be a B Corp. Are you ready to uncover the truth? Stay tuned for our next episode. #BCorp #BCorpcertification #sustainability #MNCs #myth

While I'm also very proud to be asked, I wanted to share a little more colour about 'why' I agreed support this new initiative that Juan Mendoza and the team have put a lot of work into, as I truly believe it's an important industry conversation to have given the current climate. While developing Civic Data to address specific, underserved areas within our sector, my business partner Jason Fonseca and myself often encountered a pervasive structural challenge reflected worldwide. -Despite our deep expertise and the substantial value we bring by addressing niche problems, we, along with many other experts, have faced significant barriers to participating in major industry events due to the limited financial and organisational resources of a smaller enterprise, which operates in a domain dominated by larger technologies and consulting firms. This type of restriction felt by many other specialist businesses not only limits the ability to spread much needed insights, it also stifles the broader industry’s capacity to benefit from them. To put it bluntly, we’ve lived and breathed—and, fortunately, survived— clear systemic barriers. These barriers, driven by high event access costs, participation fees, membership fees etc, all hinder the full realisation of much needed expert knowledge across the industry in many vital areas. There is therefore undoubtedly an urgent local and global need for more initiatives aimed at leveling the playing field, like this one from The Martech Weekly. By giving innovative companies of ALL sizes and origins a chance to shine alongside industry giants, more inclusive initiatives like this will allow for the sharing of much-needed lessons and expertise, enabling valuable and hard-earned insights to fully contribute to industry innovation on BOTH sides of a deal. #TMW #TMW100 #TheMartechWeekly #Innovation #MarTech
