Looking back on our first Open Innovation Summit, we’re still energized by the dynamic conversations, fresh ideas, and incredible people who made it all possible. Over two action-packed days, more than 860 attendees — including 24 speakers, 38 startup innovators, and representatives from over 20 Toyota business units — came together in Toyota City to explore the future of mobility, sustainability, and intelligence. From interactive workshops to real-world case studies, the spirit of collaboration was front and center. We are sincerely grateful to Hiroki Nakajima, EVP & CTO of TMC, for delivering a keynote that set the tone for thoughtful and forward-looking conversations. At its core, open innovation is about fostering collaboration and welcoming ideas that challenge the status quo. Through workshops and discussions led by 14 of our portfolio companies — spanning the U.S., Europe, Israel, and Asia — we gained valuable insights into how startups and Toyota can work together to shape the mobility solutions of tomorrow.
