A valid point on the benefits of AI and data. However, in discussing air pollution we're missing the biggest mark. Monitoring does nothing to pollution. To address pollution, we need actual physical solutions to bring down emissions. The world, and capital along with it, has gone all crazy with AI, data and digital because of its scalability and to me it too often looks like we forget we need to also do something instead of just tinker with the data.

They talk about airpolution from one side of their mouths then pollute the air through government programs and engineer the weather. Janus is the perfect name for their two faced nature. Like the Roman god of old
