Exciting news for San Diego! Wonderfront Music Festival has officially joined the Events.com family! With its vibrant history and deep roots in the city, we’re thrilled to elevate Wonderfront to new heights—broadening its scope, enhancing the experience, and creating a festival that San Diego can truly celebrate. As our co-founders Mitch and Paul perfectly put it: “San Diego is our headquarters… When you take the climate of San Diego and tie it to an outdoor music festival, there’s a kind of a special magic that happens.” We’re already hard at work to make Wonderfront 2025 our biggest and best yet! Stay tuned for exciting updates. A big thank you to George Varga for sharing the story. https://shorturl.at/5ICtN #Wonderfront2025 #Events #SanDiego but #MusicFestival

Devices at the ready. Multiple tabs open. Will this be your year? 🎪 The anticipation to secure tickets to some of the UK's biggest music festivals is a feeling we can all relate to. It's a chance to connect and feel part of something bigger. With the nerves of securing tickets for the UK's biggest festival now settling, we can look forward to all the things we love about festivals. Because nothing beats the feeling of seeing your favourite band or artist live. Live events matter to us. But our planet matters too - and there’s no denying that staging unforgettable experiences can have an impact on it - from the travel, power and resources involved to help stage unforgettable experiences. But is there a way to enjoy one, without sacrificing the other? 🌎 Today, we're reflecting on Episode #69 of #TheGreenRoom #podcast where we were joined by Sam Booth from AEG Europe and Ed Shedd from Deloitte, as we explored: Will music festivals ever be sustainable? 🎧 Listen to the latest episode here: https://deloi.tt/4eFlyeM

This is a good indicator that past success will not result in positive results today. However with the increase in ticket pricing some might say the event was still successful even of occupancy was down for many valid reasons. It will be interesting to see what next year brings.
#Coachella, the biggest music festival in the US, has endured a 14%-17% dip in ticket sales as the first weekend came to a close in #California. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/edW9wUkE

The New York Guitar Festival aims for 10x growth in audience size for 2025, as part of a post-pandemic strategic plan, made possible by increased funding from long-time donor the Augustine Foundation, and a new partnership with an iconic public space in midtown Manhattan. We anticipate drawing more than ten thousand people this summer. Historically, the Festival’s low-cost and free events have attracted thousands of people to venues including The Metropolitan Museum, Carnegie Hall, 92NY and Brookfield Place, but like for so many arts organizations, building back after the pandemic has presented challenges. Co-founder/curator John Schaefer explains that: “many arts presenters have found that, post-pandemic, it’s tough to compete with the couch. But the NYGF has an advantage: lots of people have a guitar somewhere near that couch, and no matter what kind of music they like, we’ve got a guitarist - and probably more than one - for them.” We believe that music helps us imagine new possibilities for the human spirit. As for our next 25 years, we’ll continue our mission of bringing musicians and audiences closer, in NYC and beyond, through our international network of ‘sister’ festivals. Artist line-up announcements for the 2025 NYGF will be announced in the Spring. #guitar #festivals #music #nyc

Over the past year I’ve learned that managing security across diverse portfolios—commercial, residential, and events—comes down to one key factor: people. Whether it’s ensuring the smooth execution of a high-profile event like the Soundside Music Festival or maintaining daily security at residential/commercial properties, it’s the dedication of every officer that makes success possible. Leadership isn’t just about giving directions, but empowering your team. Consistency and adaptability are crucial, especially when overseeing multiple projects. In security, proactive planning and effective communication are the foundation of trust. I’m proud of the work we do every day to protect our communities and provide a safe environment for all. Here’s to leading by example and pushing the boundaries of what a great team can achieve. #Leadership #SecurityManagement #Teamwork #OperationsExcellence #SecurityIndustry #EventSecurity
