As I pause to reflect on my journey into the tech industry, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities, challenges, and growth that have shaped my path thus far. Transitioning from a legal background to a cybersecurity analyst has been both exhilarating and rewarding, opening doors to a world of innovation, discovery, and endless possibilities. My foray into the tech realm was ignited by a passion for leveraging technology to address complex challenges and drive positive change. With each step forward, I found myself drawn deeper into the intricacies of cybersecurity, recognizing its pivotal role in safeguarding digital assets and protecting against evolving threats. Completing the Google cybersecurity course on Coursera was a significant milestone in my journey, providing me with invaluable insights, skills, and knowledge to excel in this dynamic field. I am grateful to the 3MTT program for equipping me with the foundation and resources to pursue my aspirations in tech, and to Bosun Tijani for his unwavering support and guidance along the way. The Google cybersecurity course not only expanded my technical proficiency but also reinforced the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in the face of rapidly evolving threats. From threat detection and incident response to risk management and compliance, the course provided a comprehensive framework for addressing the challenges of cybersecurity with confidence and competence. As I look to the future, I am excited to leverage my legal expertise and cybersecurity acumen to make a meaningful impact in the tech industry. Reflecting on an Empowering Experience at ISADCS 2024 🌟 As a participant in the International Symposium on AI, Data, and Cybersecurity (ISADCS 2024), I am filled with immense gratitude and inspiration. Being part of this event as a panelist, particularly during the session on Empowering Women Leaders in Cybersecurity, was both a privilege and a deeply rewarding experience. Key Reflections: ·  Championing Diversity and Innovation: It was truly empowering to engage in a rich dialogue with fellow panelists like Ms. Jyoti Ruparel and our brilliant moderator, Ms. Kaamna Jain. Our discussion centered on the vital role of diversity in driving innovation and how the cybersecurity industry can benefit from more inclusive leadership. We explored actionable strategies for closing the gender gap in cybersecurity, a cause I am deeply passionate about. ·  Inspiring Engagement from the Audience: The audience’s involvement in our discussion was remarkable. The questions posed and the feedback received highlighted a growing awareness of the need for gender balance in tech, particularly in leadership roles. It was heartening to see so many aspiring professionals eager to make a difference in this space. ·   Learning from Global Experts: Throughout the symposium, I had the chance to listen to government officials and industry leaders who shared invaluable insights into national cybersecurity strategies, data privacy frameworks, and the future of digital resilience. These discussions reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between sectors to build a secure and sustainable digital future. ·  Hands-on Workshops: The workshops were another highlight, offering practical solutions to emerging cybersecurity threats. Learning from experts like Sukrit Ghosh and Bhupesh Janoti on OT security and ransomware defense added a layer of practical application to the broader strategic conversations we were having. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making ISADCS 2024 a meaningful and impactful event. Together, we are shaping a more inclusive and resilient cybersecurity landscape.
