Weyerhaeuser’s Post

More than 400 middle and high school students recently put their knowledge of natural resources and ecology to the test during the North Carolina Coastal Envirothon at our Cool Springs Environmental Education Center near New Bern, N.C. The annual competition, now in its 26th year, featured teams from a dozen coastal counties in the state. At Cool Springs, students also were able to learn about local trees and plants and experience some of Weyerhaeuser’s proud history in North Carolina, where we’ve operated since 1957 and currently own or manage more than 662,000 acres of timberland. #TheWeyerhaeuserWay

Excellent! I used to work out of the New Bern timberlands office well 26 years ago. I remember my time there fondly!
