Closing the loop of Circular Economy - Turning Plastic Waste into Eco-Friendly Building Solutions. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are setting circular economy into practice. At WE!Hub Victoria Limited, we’re reforming plastic waste into building material through recycling mechanisms with our partner Timao Group. With our e-waste project we have collected more than 10 tons of electronic waste in rural Western Kenya which was technically tested and either repaired, reused or recycled. In our pre-processing plant in Homa Bay we dismantle all different fractions from the end of life items and ensure to bring them into recycling streams. Plastic parts are being transformed into building bricks which we use for construction of our new Water-Energy-Hub at Usenge Beach, where innovation meets eco-consciousness. Thanks to the support of Siemens #Cents4Sense initiative and Siemens Stiftung we are able to develop and test innovative and sustainable solutions for the development of rural Kenya. A new eco-toilet built entirely from recycled plastic! This initiative is just a small piece of our larger puzzle, we are creating sustainable solutions that include solar energy, clean water, electric mobility, and cold chain systems to reduce post-harvest losses. By championing a circular economy, we’re making a lasting impact in rural Western Kenya, where innovation not only improves lives but also protects the environment for generations to come. #Sustainability #EcoInnovation #CircularEconomy #CleanEnergy #ClimateAction
