New Healthy Lifestyle Program – have your say The East Metropolitan Health Service is about to trial a healthy lifestyle program for children and young people above a healthy weight, and their families. Before doing this, they want to talk to interested kids and their families to find out what you think is needed in a program aimed at helping families achieve a healthier life. What’s involved? ● You and your child will take part in a small focus group with other families. ● You'll be asked about your experiences trying to live a healthier lifestyle, and what we need to include in a program helping families achieve healthier lifestyles. ● The session will last about 2 hours. ● To cover your time, you can claim travel costs (up to $50) and: - caregivers will receive $75 - children and young people will receive a $75 voucher. We know that talking about this can be difficult. The focus groups will be a safe space – non-judgmental and blame-free. Who can attend? Families with children and/or young people above a healthy weight living in the East Metro area.
