It's great to see that the Celtic Media Festival gave priority to a discussion on A Greener Future for the Screen Sector. Film and TV production has a significant carbon footprint, but we also have straightforward ways of reducing these emissions once a decision is made to make it happen. This is a topic that should be front and centre at all film festivals in order to make everyone aware of the importance of addressing the #ClimateEmergency, and how simple it can be to deliver reductions once senior people start taking it seriously.

This new initiative complements our existing Serena Sustainability Committee, which defines and implements Serena’s sustainability strategy. 🪸 We’re increasingly backing Climate Tech and Nature Tech, addressing the dual crises of carbon emissions and biodiversity loss. ♀️ Diversity in our portfolio is progressing: 33% of our new investments feature female or mixed-gender founding teams, with our PALM program growing stronger each year, and now.
