Looking forward to seeing more outstanding women of color represented in boardrooms—there’s still work to be done, and every voice matters! Thank you for being an ally David Chun! #DiversityInLeadership #BoardroomEquity #LeadershipMatters #InclusiveLeadership #RepresentationMatters #WomenOnBoards #LeadByExample #EquityAndInclusion

I’m excited to rejoin the selection committee for 50/50 Women on Boards 2025 Top 50 Women to Watch! It's truly an honor and also an opportunity to reflect on the learnings from my personal journey in business. As a Korean American immigrant, I’ve often been the “only” in the room.  That sentiment managed to grow over the last decade, as I’ve had the privilege of working with countless women's leadership groups, finding myself the single male in attendance. Ladies, I know how you feel! For a while, being the “only” played into my insecurities. When our family landed in Rutherford, NJ in the late 1960s after the passage of the Immigration Act, we were not easily integrated into the community. It took a while to get in the door, and even longer to find a voice. But one day it clicked: If you were the “only," it was easier for others to remember your contributions to the discussion. Being the "only" became a distinction. It goes without saying that it’s a challenging environment for diversity initiatives. That’s why it’s more important than ever to raise our game. The goal, of course, is equity. At Equilar, we’ve seen firsthand the impact of diverse leadership in the boardroom, and I’m proud to support this important effort to spotlight talented women shaping the future of corporate governance. If you're an "only," seize the moment and lean in. It’s up to you to prepare and be remembered as the talented individual who, by the way, happened to be diverse and unique in the room that day. And if you’re one of many, amplify the voices around you to help ensure every perspective is heard. Looking forward to collaborating with the incredible committee and celebrating the next generation of boardroom leaders! #IWD25 #5050WOB #WomenOnBoards #Leadership #CorporateGovernance #DEI
