A client approached VS Studio for the Shimoda office residence after feeling uncertain about the proposal from their local builder (Koumuten). In Japan, it’s common to work directly with local builders or house makers for both design and construction. However, these designs are often not fully customized, and the materials are usually very limited. Our clients wanted something more, and that’s where we stepped in to explore design possibilities and help them create their ideal home on their plot of land in Shimoda. At VS Studio, we offer not only design services but also real estate expertise. Whether you’re looking for the perfect land or a building that meets your specific needs, we provide assessments and recommendations with a real estate and an architectural perspective. Our one stop comprehensive service. Feel free to reach out to us for a consultation.

Our unique approach combines architectural design, storytelling, and state-of-the-art visualisation to craft spaces that resonate emotionally and embody your brand identity. 🌿 Designing Corporate Identity Through Architecture We’re proud to have collaborated with major companies like Bitfarms, and now Phronesis, to transform their ideas into impactful spaces. Our latest project, the Reception & Sala Dexter, exemplifies how we turn concepts into reality. We were delighted to collaborate with Ambientes Funcionales S.R.L. Funcionales, a construction company, on this project. Together we designed a multifunctional space as the heart of their office. Located behind the Reception area, Sala Dexter is the star of the place and serves as a meeting and product tasting space that embodies the company’s deep connection to the countryside roots of the company. 💡 What makes Sala Dexter special? We worked with materials already chosen for the rest of their office. These elements were also featured in the realistic 360° visualisations we created, ensuring that our designs authentically represented how was going to turn the final concept. ✨ FAPLAC Colour Safari 115: Custom Terraced Seating and Integrated Tasting Bar. Introducing our Norrdex Studio Module. The Norrdex Modules are constructed based on the concepts of Le Corbusier and John Habraken (Support/Infill), now better known as the Open Building Philosophy. In this approach, the structure, finishing, and interior are separated. This makes the modules easily adaptable, even when they are part of a complex of Modules. The Norrdex Studio Module is the most basic module in our Leisure Program line. However, it has all the characteristics and properties of a Norrdex Module. The modules are not only well-insulated, but they also come standard with underfloor heating and ceiling cooling (thermally active floor and ceiling). Facades or facade parts are interchangeable without the need to adjust the construction. The studio modules are available in various standard sizes and can be custom-made if desired. Here are some of our leisure module buildings: - Gymnasiums and warm-up rooms - Changing rooms, showers, and washrooms - Office suites and administration spaces - Press, media, and analysis rooms - Medical treatment and therapy rooms - Dining, lounge, and break-out areas Our Norrdex modules are valued for their shorter construction time, financial savings, reduced site disruption, and the greater flexibility they offer compared to traditional construction methods. Norrdex’s approach integrates cutting-edge technology with sustainable practices, ensuring that each module not only meets but exceeds the expectations of their discerning clientele.

(This is a post about service design). There is a castle near Prague called Konopiště, which is special for two reasons: it belonged to Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and it has this elevator. Now, an Archducal elevator is truly a splendid affair, as you can see. It even has its own sofa, as Ferdinand could not be expected to stand for the entire time the elevator took to traverse three stories, like some kind of peasant. For the 19th century, such luxury was unknown in most parts of the world. But there's a feature it is missing. One that we take for granted today. You see, the external door to Franz Ferdinand's elevator could only be opened from the outside. This may seem like a glaring design flaw but it is truly an excellent example of "the user is not like me." Franz Ferdinand had never opened a door in his life, and possibly never even noticed this one only opened from the outside. He had servants for that. Instead, after seeing him safely into the elevator, his valet would sprint up the stairs, arriving just as the elevator pulled up and trying not to look too out of breath as he opened the door for His Imperial and Royal Highness. For the Archduke's entire life and to this very day, the elevator was never updated to open from the inside. So don't be too afraid when you don't have the right technology - especially for a proof of concept. At small scale, good operations wins every time.

Fulcrum Studio has transformed its own workspace into a captivating and inspiring environment, shifting away from traditional office models. the studio reimagined the physical realm of a workspace by eliminating typical office design scheme and embracing creativity. Reimagining Work in a Post-Pandemic World at fuclrum studio office, The design story explores the concept of 'going to work' in a post-pandemic era. Despite being located in the heart of the city, the interior opens up to capture the surrounding canopy with The interplay of solid, void, and the 'in-between'—achieved through a vertical layering of perforated mesh in flooring, stairways, and leisure spaces, visually expands the stacked layers. This design scheme enhances the aesthetic and introduces a sense of openness and fluidity within the workspace.https://bit.ly/3yqsk8Y
