We’re thrilled to share a few final student projects from our recent partnership with the College for Creative Studies in Detroit! Named 'the People’s Car 2030,' this project challenged students to explore how vehicles will enhance lifestyles, improve human-machine interactions, and foster connections with the environment, community and self, ultimately amplifying daily transportation experiences for the American mass market. Students took advantage of current and future technologies in their concepts to enhance the mobility experience and simplify production. Volkswagen Group of America Innovation and Engineering Center California (IECC) partnered with the College for Creative Studies to create a program for vehicle design students to brainstorm mobility solution ideas and pitch to Volkswagen engineers. Thirty students participated and were divided into 10 teams, each focusing on a specific customer profile. Students learned first-hand from Volkswagen designers how the auto industry looks at the future and what mobility solutions will be available. Each student gained valuable experience in the design process as well as professional-level outputs for their portfolios. Congratulations to all who participated!

Fantastic update
Best of luck
Inspiring
Why don't Volkswagen have the Rivian RIT EV truck and rotate with the Rivian SUV on display at their USA dealerships. Don’t have it there for sale there but would draw people into the showroom and might sell a few more Volkswagen. Would help out Rivian too. Big competition for Tesla. At Nissan got the crew cab from Japan that made them billions and the Titan forced Toyota to build the Tundra even after they lost a billion on the T-100. Eventually pushed 2 of the big 3 into bankruptcy too. Just a thought.
Investing in the next gerenation! Incredible projects! Congrats to all students! 👏
Inspiring to see the next generation of designers shaping the future of mobility! Innovation thrives when creativity meets real-world problem-solving. Congrats to all the students!
