A year ago, ViewIn was doing < $10k MRR. As a consulting firm and agency, those are some tough times when trying to keep the team happy (we were losing cash fast...) Today we're generating $50k+ in monthly pipeline. Here's how we turned things around ⇓ 1️⃣ We stopped trying to help everyone with everything Learning quickly that leaning into 2 to 3 areas of expertise helps us win more clients faster That is, we changed our approach from "a Business and Start Up Consulting Firm" to a "Go to Market Implementation and Strategy Agency" where our focus is on: 1. Implementing GTM Tech Stacks 2. Building GTM processes 3. Leveraging Clay workflows and teaching our clients how to use it effectively 2️⃣ We doubled down on the demand channels that we know work Experimentation is great, initially. But its a huge time suck. We stopped trying to change our approach, and 2x'd our efforts into acquiring new clients with the channels that we know worked 100% Learning how to pivot quickly if something isn't working is an art because things take time. Only you know how effective your lead generation channels are for your niche. 3️⃣ We realized our ICP was plain WRONG, and shifted We spent more time educating decision makers about what GTM is instead of having focused conversations about GTM challenges. Our approach shifted to talking to sales and marketing agencies who knew exactly what their GTM pain points are, and using the time in meetings to find solutions and discuss how Clay will help them grow faster and more efficiently.
