What do you think about Politics?🤔💬 This came to my mind a few days back. I have noticed that when it comes to politics, particularly POLITICAL ENGAGEMENTS, a large number of us tend to ‘back off’🙅♀️🙅❌ My Question is “Why”? I am genuinely curious! 😳 ➖Is it because of the passed down notion about Politics being a dirty game? ➖Is it because of the bloodshed🩸involved sometimes? ➖ Is it because we just believe it’s only for a ‘few persons’? ➖ Or is it just because we just don’t want to participate?🤷🏽♀️ That is Apathy!❌ 📌When something begins to get political, we try to tone it down or we simply hands off! For me, I love politics and the dynamics within. I love the complexities involved. I find it intriguing!⭐️ I also believe, when wielded properly, is the major instrument for #PositiveChange What about you? Do you love politics? If you do, let’s connect😉

"This isn't about politics..." You mean well, but you're wrong. This is absolutely about politics. What is more political than the matter of who is allowed to be alive, healthy, and safe in our world? Stop trying to legitimise the conversation you want to have by saying it's "not politics." You don't need to do that, because it's already legitimate. Your political enemies have convinced you that talking about politics is inappropriate behaviour. Why do you believe them? Why are you giving them this much power over you? Stop listening to them. They're certainly not taking their own advice, are they. Embrace the fact that you are allowed to have a political opinion, and you are allowed to express it. That's step one to fixing this mess, and we won't get anywhere if we don't take it. Here, I'll start: I should be alive. I should not be killed. I belong in the world. The world is better with people like me in it. All political opinions that I hold. All things good and true and appropriate to say. Now you try.

Have you ever noticed the stark contrast between political figures on camera versus off-camera? 🤔 Our latest video dives deep into the intriguing world of appearances versus reality in politics. Key insights from the discussion: - Politicians often present themselves as adversaries, but behind the scenes, their relationships can be unexpectedly friendly. - Public statements are frequently more about influence than actionable promises. - This may lead to a phenomenon called cheap tribalism, drawing public energy and attention without substantial outcomes. Understanding these dynamics can help you navigate political narratives more discerningly. What’s your take on the gap between political appearances and reality? #Leadership #BusinessStrategy #Productivity #PoliticalInsight #PublicPerception #Networking #

Politics is not new. It is persistent since our childhood. Jut that, it has got a formal name now. Look at this, During childhood did you hear this, "If it's my bat it's my batting first". And his immediate best friend would drop second and so on. It's everywhere, so is it in the office. But it takes guts to be neutral and not participate in any. It takes guts to be different and among the 10%. Having said that, don't be so lame that you're an easy target for the political parties. Steer clear of the haze. Be the Nota to the set of political parties.

💡 Let's Talk Politics: Impassioned Disagreements Without Damaging Relationships 💬 As elections approach, political conversations are everywhere, but how do we engage in them without damaging our relationships? Whether it's with colleagues, friends, or family, these discussions can get heated. Here are three key strategies for navigating political debates while maintaining respect and connection: 𝟭. 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 Active listening is crucial. Instead of jumping to respond, focus on understanding the other person’s perspective. This approach can turn potential confrontations into meaningful conversations. 𝟮. 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 Not every topic is worth debating. If you feel a conversation is heading in the wrong direction, it’s okay to step back, set boundaries, and protect your emotional well-being. 𝟯. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 Light-hearted, self-deprecating humor can help diffuse tension, making difficult conversations easier to handle—just be mindful of the timing and avoid offending others. Don’t believe everything you see online. Get your news from diverse and credible sources to stay well-informed. It’s not about being right—it’s about preserving relationships. Let’s all lower the temperature, avoid divisive rhetoric, and keep the conversations respectful. How *not* to talk about politics all day?? Current affairs often reflect fears and negative feelings arising from personal circumstances. In a sense, political discourse provides a space to express these concerns, particularly feelings of helplessness and vulnerability, without the need for personal exposure. Arguing about politics can be a way of voicing a sense of being wronged without revealing intimate details. To break away from the urge to engage in political debates, it can be helpful to regain a sense of control in one's personal life through planning, taking action, and strengthening immediate social connections. #one_thought_about_productivity_a_day

There are many formats to post and discuss politics. In my opinion, LinkedIn is not the right place to express your political position. It’s none of my business who you vote for or your political beliefs. To minimize political rhetoric on my LinkedIn feed I’ll be removing any contacts who are posting and commenting on political topics. Please know there’s nothing personal, I would prefer to have my LinkedIn feed to be business topics and updates about my contacts.

Life is Politics Ever thought about it? Life is politics. It doesn’t matter how much you hate it or try to avoid it – politics is embedded in everything. Look at how businesses operate, how organizations run environmental and social campaigns, or even humanitarian efforts. It’s all politics. And if you don’t make politics your business, it will always find a way of making you its business. Here’s the interesting part: one of our late presidents, Kenyan, once said, "Bad politics is bad for business"- Daniel Arap Moi. At the time, people were too busy hating on him to appreciate the wisdom in that statement – but it's true. Even within companies and organizations, bad politics creates toxic environments and makes life harder for everyone. So, here’s the question: What type of politics are you allowing in your space? Have you made politics your business, or are you too “woke” to engage with it? #iWonderlust #politics #organizations #business #markets

I was recently criticized by a follower because I referred to an executive order without putting it in context—and by “context,” I mean political commentary to the liking of the follower. Long story short, I am never going to do that. I am an advocate for small businesses and for the government’s small business programs. I won’t hold back from expressing my opinions on these subjects. But national politics? The merits of various presidential administrations? Sure, I have my personal opinions, but I’m not going to express them here. This is how I’ve proceeded for various administrations of both parties, and it will continue to be how I operate. I have no interest in seeing my LinkedIn feed reduced to a forum for pointless partisan debate. You want to get mad because my post about the new administration doesn’t contain your hoped-for partisan commentary? Okay, get mad. But I am going to keep doing what I do, which is supporting small businesses to the best of my ability—not pushing a political agenda.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the way politics is heading. In my latest Substack post, I dive into the rise of populism and how it has changed the political landscape, forcing the left to rethink its approach. Join me as I explore the potential for a more grounded, leftist populism, one that speaks directly to the needs of regular people. I’d love to hear your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/g2jnRWDU

6moPolitics can definitely be a complex and sensitive topic for many people. A lot of the hesitation to engage seems to stem from fear of conflict, disillusionment with the system, or feeling like one person can’t make a difference. But as you said, when used correctly, politics is a powerful tool for driving positive change! Personally, I believe political engagement is essential, especially for those who want to see improvements in society. It starts with small steps, like staying informed and voting, to actively participating in discussions or even running for office. Politics impacts our everyday lives, so why not be part of the solution?
