As a proud member of the Stagwell global network of agencies, we were thrilled to welcome Stagwell Chairman and CEO Mark Penn to our office yesterday, marking the official opening of the new Stagwell Canada campus! Home to multiple Stagwell agencies, our new campus is a hub of marketing and communications innovation, and cross-functional partnership. During our Town Hall, Mark spoke with our campus about the exciting future we’re working toward as a collective team, highlighting our global capabilities and some of the incredible work done here in Canada. Mark’s visit also aligned with the release of The Harris Poll's first-ever Canadian edition of its highly regarded Corporate Reputation Quotient® (RQ®) study. In partnership with Canadian Business, The Harris Poll - a Stagwell agency - surveyed Canadians to understand how they perceive the "most visible" companies in Canada across key metrics including trust, ethics, vision, and products. In an engaging panel discussion led by Jason Maghanoy of Canadian Business, Mark, alongside John Gerzema and Sara Cappe of The Harris Poll, spoke to our campus about: ✔ The values held by Canadian consumers when it comes to their most trusted brands ✔ How AI adoption in Canada influences corporate reputation ✔ The role of perceived value when it comes to brand reputation ✔ How taking a political stance can impact brand perception for consumers ✔ The major differences observed in American vs. Canadian consumers in how they rank their favourite (and least favourite) companies You can read more about the Canadian Corporate Reputation Quotient® study here: https://lnkd.in/gyu9fwJt Thank you to Mark and the entire Stagwell team for making the visit north to help us officially open our Stagwell Canada campus!

Revisiting the journey that has shaped my marketing career feels profoundly meaningful. Twelve years ago, as a fresh graduate, I immersed myself in marketing in the APAC regions. Looking back, I consider myself incredibly fortunate for encountering numerous mentors who not only provided invaluable opportunities for growth and learning but also exemplified patience and guidance, which have become my pillars throughout this journey. "Patience and guidance from mentors have been my constant companions," I often remind myself of this invaluable lesson. Marketing has always held a special allure for me, even in my early years. Choosing this dynamic field continues to bring me immense joy and fulfillment. Despite moments of doubt, including a time when fatigue led me to faint in Berlin, I'm grateful for persevering through those challenges. "Challenges are the stepping stones to growth," a lesson I've embraced wholeheartedly. Working across diverse industries broadened my marketing perspective, exposing me to various tactics, channels, and strategies. In a constantly evolving world, marketers must stay agile to effectively capture their audience's attention. "Adaptability is key in a fast-paced marketing landscape," a mantra I've learned to live by. Embracing challenges, I'm profoundly thankful for the opportunities Telesign has provided, fostering belief in my resilience and capabilities. This journey wouldn't have been possible without an exceptional leadership team, especially Kristi Melani, Michele Taylor-Smith, and Ryan Weidman, who believed in me and empowered me to soar. I also want to extend my gratitude to the wider marketing team and my peers from the field marketing team, whose mutual support has been instrumental in achieving our objectives. Additionally, the supportive APAC sales team has been a vital part of this journey. Receiving the first Telesign Field Marketing Achiever's Club award at RKO 2024 was a humbling recognition of our collective efforts. As we venture into the future, I eagerly anticipate continued growth—both personally and professionally—with the company. To everyone who has supported me on this journey, thank you. Here's to exciting times ahead and the relentless pursuit of excellence to be #unstoppable!

Reflecting on a Collaboration with Marketing Undergraduates: Lessons in Branding, Collaboration, and Sustainability 📚 Back in January, my colleague Vincent Cheng and I had the privilege of being invited by Mabel Chan, lecturer in Marketing at the College of International Education, Hong Kong Baptist University, to give an assignment to a class of marketing undergrads. It was exciting to interact with final-year students and witness their fresh ideas for our imminent milestone celebration. 🚀 The assignment was to create an event marketing campaign, and we anticipated innovative perspectives to inject into our planning process. Fast forward to last Monday, Vincent and I were impressed by the abundance of interesting concepts from the assignment's presentations. It was evident that these students possessed potential and many of their proposals were highly campaign-worthy. 🔑 However, this experience reminds me of some critical aspects of marketing projects. While a good concept serves as a starting point, meticulous planning and excellent execution are essential. Given our limited resources, it is crucial for us to seize every opportunity to bring our ideas to life practically, without sacrificing creativity. 💡 While embracing collaboration, we often lose sight of our own brand identity. It's easy to get carried away by exciting ideas and overlook core values and objectives. Striking the right balance and maintaining brand focus is essential to ensure that our initiatives align with our vision. ✨ Overall, it has been an enriching experience. Amidst the intensity of daily work, I am grateful for the "break" to witness the fresh ideas and dedication of these students. As we contemplate our celebratory campaign, we must remain mindful of our commitment to sustainability and ensure that our campaign reflects this vision. #MarketingInspiration 💡 #Collaboration 🤝 #Education 📚 #Branding 🎯 #Sustainability ♻️

This is no regular day in PR!!! On our first day, Elizabeth spoke about why The Xec was created: when we think about diversity in PR, we often start at the bottom—engaging with schools or recruiting junior talent. While that’s important, the real challenge is retention and getting Black professionals to the top. It’s fitting that this announcement comes during Black History Month because i’ve been reflecting on what Black leadership truly means—what it means to be visible and seen in this industry. I’m no stranger to starting at the bottom. My career began with the Taylor Bennett Foundation, which gave me an incredible head start (shoutout to my TBF crew!). But now, 5 years in, I’m still surrounded by so few Black professionals—especially in leadership roles. Change is needed. It will take creating systems of belonging, where Black professionals are empowered to lead. We need environments where Black talent thrives, is valued for its creativity and perspective, and plays an essential role in shaping the future of our industry. Today, I’m becoming part of that change. By joining The Xec, I’m taking a step towards not just existing in the industry, but helping ensure that this becomes a reality for those who come after me. We deserve a seat at the top. I’m honoured to undertake this challenge with all of you, and the first month has already been incredible. I’m so excited for what’s next! *** TheXec., the first leadership scheme for UK-based Black, Asian, Mixed Race, and Ethnic Minority (BME), #PR and #comms pros, was developed by #BMEPRPros, is supported by Google UK, and is delivered in partnership with PRovoke Media and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. My professional growth has been shaped by both education and hands-on experience—starting from the ground up. 📚 I began my career over 17 years ago as a young advertising specialist. My first projects were far from glamorous—I was literally hanging outdoor ads and working on basic promotional campaigns. But that hands-on start taught me the importance of every detail in marketing execution. Since then, I’ve continually invested in my growth, earning: 🔸Brand Management Certification from the University of London & London Business School. 🔸MBA in Marketing from City Business School, Moscow. 🔸Marketing Management Diploma from the European Institute of Education and Recruitment, St. Petersburg. 🔸Advertising and Public Relations Degree from Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. This foundation, combined with years of practical experience, has allowed me to grow from an entry-level specialist to a Chief Marketing Officer leading international projects. Today, I manage global marketing strategies, develop automation systems, and build data-driven campaigns that deliver measurable results. My story is a reminder that no matter where you start, continuous learning and persistence can take you further than you imagine. 🚀 If you're looking for a marketing partner who’s been through every stage of the process, DM me—let’s talk growth strategies! · · · #smallbiztips #smallbizowner #smallbiz #marketingtips #losangeles #branding_design #npofonds #npo #MarketingJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #MarketingExpert
