Shelby’s journey with Valley Youth House began as a summer intern at our Lehigh Valley Shelter while she was studying psychology and women & gender studies. That experience sparked a passion that brought her back years later—this time as a Clinical Intake Specialist for our Supervised Independent Living program. Now, as Associate Director of Training & Talent Development, Shelby helps train and support staff across the agency, manages our internship programs, and brings a creative, people-centered approach to curriculum design. Her favorite part? Getting to know the incredible people across the agency who show up every day to make a difference. Shelby says it best: “We’re in the people business.
