The world faces an unprecedented hunger crisis. The storm of violence, wars, climate emergencies, and rising costs are driving people further into poverty and hunger. UN Women reports that of the 345 million people who are severely hungry in the world right now, nearly 60 per cent are women and girls. The proportion is higher in countries suffering from conflict, where women are trapped in a cycle of disadvantage, poverty, and displacement.   This weekend (11 - 13 October), ACT Alliance joins faith-based organisations for an annual Weekend of Prayer and Action. Our Global Gender Justice Programme Manager, Rev.
