At 6, Yahia lost his legs in a shell explosion in Syria, which left him struggling, not just physically but emotionally. At 13, he is overcoming his trauma and regaining his confidence, thanks to a UNICEF-supported child protection programme and an inclusive school that is accessible to children with disabilities. "I can move around on my own now. There’s even a bathroom I can use without help," he says. #ForEveryChild a fair chance to learn, grow and dream.

MashaAllah, Yahia’s resilience is truly inspiring. May Allah continue to guide him on his journey of healing and growth, and grant him strength.
Great work
Very touching 😦
Such a beautiful and courageous child!
it’s both heartbreaking and deeply inspiring. What he has endured at such a young age is unimaginable, yet his strength, resilience, and hope shine through. It’s uplifting to see how support, inclusion, and compassion can empower children like Yahia to rebuild their lives and regain their independence. Stories like his are a powerful reminder of the importance of accessible education and child protection programs. Yahia’s journey is not only a testament to his courage but also to the impact that care and community can have on a child’s healing. Wishing him continued strength and joy as he moves forward — on his own terms.
