Even before last week’s earthquake, over 6.5 million children in Myanmar were in need of humanitarian assistance. 1 in 3 displaced people in the country is a child. Now, the earthquake has added another layer of crisis, pushing already vulnerable families past the brink. UNICEF and partners have begun delivering emergency water, sanitation and hygiene kits, medical kits and nutrition supplies. But the needs are immense. Thank you for sharing this crucial information. The statistic that 1 in 3 displaced people in Myanmar is a child is particularly alarming and underscores the urgent need for humanitarian assistance. UNICEF's commitment to delivering emergency water, sanitation, hygiene kits, medical kits, and nutrition supplies demonstrates their expertise and dedication to addressing these dire needs. As someone who values impactful initiatives, I found this post inspiring because it highlights the immense challenges faced by vulnerable families and the critical support required to help them. Sharing this with my network of senior executives at large enterprises can help amplify the message and potentially garner more support for this cause.

The crisis in Myanmar is a stark reminder that vulnerability multiplies in times of disaster. With over 6.5 million children already in need of humanitarian assistance, the recent earthquake has deepened an already dire situation. At Lizara Health Access Initiative (LHAI), we believe that every child deserves access to healthcare, clean water, and a safe environment—regardless of circumstances. The work that UNICEF and its partners are doing to provide emergency relief is critical, but the needs are immense and growing. Now, more than ever, we must stand together to protect the most vulnerable. Let’s support urgent humanitarian efforts to ensure that no child is left behind. #HealthcareForAll #HumanitarianRelief #SupportMyanmar #ChildrenFirst #LHAI #GlobalHealth #DisasterRelief
