Choose the Appropriate Pathway There are several pathways for assessment, depending on your qualifications and experience: Accredited Qualifications Pathway: For those with qualifications accredited by Engineers Australia or recognized through accords like the Washington Accord, Sydney Accord, or Dublin Accord. Non-Accredited Qualifications Pathway: For those with qualifications that are not accredited by Engineers Australia. Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) Pathway: For those whose qualifications are not accredited or recognized. 3. Prepare Required Documents Collect and prepare all required documents, which generally include: Academic transcripts and degree certificates. Proof of work experience. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records. Identification documents (passport, birth certificate, etc.). 4. Prepare and Submit Application Depending on your pathway, you may need to submit different types of documentation: Accredited Qualifications Pathway: Submit your academic qualifications and other relevant documents. Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) Pathway: Prepare and submit a CDR, which includes: CPD List: A summary of your CPD activities. Three Career Episodes: Detailed descriptions of your engineering projects or work experiences. Summary Statement: A summary that cross-references your career episodes with the competency elements required by Engineers Australia. 5. Submit the Application Online Create an account on the Engineers Australia website and submit your application through their online portal. Upload all the required documents and pay the assessment fee. 6. Await Assessment Outcome Engineers Australia will review your application and may contact you for additional information or clarification. The assessment process can take several weeks to months. 7. Receive the Outcome Once the assessment is complete, you will receive the outcome via email. If successful, you will be issued a letter stating your assessed engineering occupation and qualification. "Why Energy Systems Engineering (ESE)?" People often ask me why I chose this major. To start, ESE combines basic engineering principles with specialized courses in energy and business management. The program merges the core principles of mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering, offering a solid foundation in the field. Growing up, I enjoyed building structures with Legos which got me to consider engineering. As I explored further, I realized I wanted to specialize in something not widely pursued. This degree attracted me because it allows me to develop a variety of technical skills across different engineering sectors, all applied to the crucial area of energy.

Last year, together with my colleague Mirko De Luca, I had the opportunity to design an electrical installation for a construction site using iProject, a software by Schneider Electric. This technical report outlines the approach we took in the planning and implementation stages, highlighting key considerations in electrical design, safety measures, and system optimization. We focused on delivering a solution that not only meets the technical requirements but also ensures energy efficiency and scalability, essential for modern infrastructure projects. I am pleased to share this work, which reflects our commitment to applying cutting-edge tools and methodologies in the field of electrical engineering. I hope this report will be useful for professionals and organizations looking to enhance their knowledge and approach to electrical system design in construction projects.
