Among the top 3 markets, the first (Spain) and the third (Italy) seem dominated by a very specific genre, respectively Latin (language issue?) and Rap / HipHop (how much does Trap contribute?). In France (5th) there is a good alternation of the two genders. Indie and Rock fans appear relevant only in Germany and the UK, as well as in smaller markets in Eastern Europe. Bedroom Artists, small Producers and independent Labels: these are important indications for formulating your market strategy! PS: my hypothesis is that the genre of the single song with the highest number of plays is the same one that generates the most cumulative plays.

Going for the Market. Every time we go out to perform music for a new audience, they normally wonder why we cannot go out and play more often for people to see our work and possibly get leads. While this is a good idea, we rarely carry out such appearances because someone has to pay for anything like that to happen. The question then changes to; Who is willing to pay for us to appear in random places and play our music? Possible Option 1: The one suggesting that we go out..... Option 2: People in charge of the places we want to go...... Option 3: Cultural organisations, private corporations....... Option 4: Ourselves the musicians.. What do you think?
