📢 Exciting News! 🚀✨ Primobius has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NEO Mobility Asia Company Ltd. for the supply of equipment and services for battery recycling. 🌍🔄 NEO Mobility is a joint venture of MGC-Asia Green Tech Company Limited, an affiliate of Millennium Group Corporation (Asia) Public Company Limited (MGC) and Arun Plus Mobility Holding Company Limited, an affiliate of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT). Through Neo Mobility, MGC and PTT are aiming to build up an ecosystem that also includes battery recycling in Southeast Asia and are seeking the collaboration with Primobius as the technology provider. Hard to overstate the significance to the bioeconomy of this Geno / Hyosung Corporation news (disclosure, I've worked with Geno for years): 1. With this $1B announcement, just one of Geno's technologies (for biobased BDO) is on a path to power 300,000 tons per year of more sustainable product. That's already a healthy dent in the 3M+ ton worldwide market. Don't be surprised to see this tech become a 'must-consider' for new plant builds. 2. This outlines a path to sustainable materials becoming increasingly important, sector by sector. In the current example: Hyosung is a leader in spandex and is making a major commitment to sustainability; and The LYCRA Company is also going to be using BDO made using Geno tech for their spandex. You could imagine an eventual tipping point, market segment by market segment, where coal/fossil-based products are not acceptable. Is nylon next? 3. These next big investments highlight the huge importance of the companies that went before them: here, big kudos to Novamont, for building the first plant using Geno's tech; and then to Cargill and HELM AG for one currently under construction. https://lnkd.in/gGR_9sPu

Resolved Technologies has received a grant of € 1.46 million from the Just Transition Fund (JTF) of the European Union. This grant is in addition to the seed investment of € 1 million provided by Brightlands Venture Partners and the iFund Foundation last year. This funding will be used to design and construct a pilot plant for our unique advanced dissolution technology in the south of the Netherlands (Zuid-Limburg). The ReSolved technology purifies plastics (post-consumer and post-industrial) to close the loop and provide high-quality feedstock to make new products (closed-loop). ReSolved Technologies contributes to the circular economy with a lower carbon footprint compared to virgin plastic.
