On March 1, the Town of Little Elm Special Events team kicked off event season in style with The Big Easy in Little Elm! The Big Easy celebrated its 11 year in Little Elm with a live performance from Le Freak, crawfish races, food trucks, a costume contest, 5k and fun walk, hot air balloon glow, and a fireworks and drone show to end the night. With over 5,000 people in Little Elm Park, visitors joined us from nearby cities including Frisco, Denton, The Colony, Aubrey, McKinney, and more. The Special Events Team is tasked with ensuring that regional events recover their costs, so the financial burden doesn’t fall on taxpayers. The Big Easy was successfully cost recovered at 116%, with additional revenue now helping to fund community-based events that bring even more fun and connection to Little Elm! 👏 Huge shoutout to our Special Events team for an incredible start to the season—we can't wait to see what’s next!
