Ever seen a job posting and wondered what’s really behind it? 🧐
We’re taking you behind the scenes with our Applied Science and ADAS teams—the minds behind some of the most advanced, accurate maps out there. We asked them about the skills that matter, what it’s like working with large scale data—and what could be next for you!
Watch the video to see where your journey could take you. 🚀

I should be looking at this camera, not usually on camera. Are you ready? Yeah. I would say being curious and rigorous at the same time. It's not just science. So you also have to be good at engineering and that's the applied part. Understanding complex problems and realizing when one didn't understand the problem and then asking the right questions. Python, Python Python Python I would change careers. Getting accurate data in our field is quite complicated. Making sense of bad data is definitely harder than getting accurate data from a technical perspective. Most of all, work is definitely automated. Engineers, applied scientists, everybody in ADAS is working to automate themselves basically. So I would say 80% is automated and 20% for validation and quality control. That's QGIS because without that we cannot visualize anything. Stack overflow. It's my go to tool for debugging the algorithms. I would say Visual Studio. Definitely go with kids slack. The right time to do it to like we really focusing on new challenges. The best part is that you can literally see the impact of your work on the map. If you want to work with a lot of smart people on interesting problems, then go for it.
