As 2024 draws to a close, we’re excited to share the final team member profile of the year in our Team Talk series, highlighting the incredible individuals behind Terex Washing Systems. Introducing.... Name: Eddy Carey Position: Manufacturing Team Lead 1.      What initially attracted you to join our team? What attracted me to join Terex was not only its reputation both locally and globally, but also how people I’d known from youth had joined and spoken very highly of Terex and went on to be very successful and key players in Terex’s success. 2.      What is your role in the team and what do you enjoy most about it? I am the Manufacturing team lead in Farlough and the thing that I enjoy most about my role is working with a very close-knit team, and together, taking on and overcoming the challenges we face on a daily basis.   3.      Can you share a memorable team achievement or success story that you were a part of? One of the most memorable success stories that I was a part of was the American launch of the AggreSand in North Carolina. From the planning to the execution, meeting and working with a diverse group of people and ultimately celebrating the success together, it was definitely one of the highlights of my career in Terex.     4.      Can you share an interesting fact or detail about yourself we might not know about you? I started playing the guitar a few years ago after spending years wishing that I knew how. Not sure if I felt that life began at 40 or if I was having a mid-life crisis. It’s definitely not as easy as the pros make it look! 5.      What is your favourite thing to do? I love watching football and rugby and listening to music and podcasts. I’ve followed Juventus for 30 years and days out in Dublin at Ireland rugby games are always brilliant. When it comes to music, those who know me would know that I’m a huge Bruce Springsteen fan! But above all else my favourite thing to do is spending time with my children.   6.      Can you share a favourite travel destination or a place you'd love to visit someday? As a favourite holiday destination, it’s difficult to choose between America and Italy. 2 fantastic countries for very different reasons. New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Indonesia are all on the bucket list to visit someday.   7.      Do you have a favourite quote or mantra that inspires you? “It always seems impossible until it's done.”   8.      What are you career aspirations at Terex? In nearly 22 years I’ve held many positions in Terex. As to what happens next only time will tell! In my own experience, and something that I’ve spoken to many new team members about over the years, is that if you are looking to develop your skill set and further your career within Terex, the opportunities, encouragement and support are there to do so!    

✨ The Importance of Giving People a Chance 💼 Almost four years ago, Cavalry gave me a chance—a job opportunity, despite having no prior (paid) experience in healthcare and no background in account management (my first role at Cavalry). (Convinced I was the personality hire 💁🏼♀️ 💃🏼) 🙋🏼♀️Since then, I’ve been fortunate to explore several roles within the business, driven by both the needs of the company and my evolving career goals. In each role, I brought no prior experience—just a strong eagerness to learn and a determination to prove I could rise to the challenge. 💻 Today, I had the privilege of hosting an induction for a new member of our Stability and Transformation Service, who transitioned from another team within Cavalry. 🧠 Together, we explored how packages of care are procured, commissioned, delivered, and monitored. We discussed the challenges facing our sector and outlined our 2025 strategy, which included tangible outcomes to work toward as a team. We highlighted how every part of our organisation contributes to delivering person-centered support. 🗓️ Four years ago, I didn’t even know commissioners existed (🤣). Today, I’m supporting others in developing their understanding of the sector and helping them recognise the critical role we each play in achieving our shared mission: to change care for the better by empowering people to thrive independently. 💙 Give people a chance
